The Quality of Mercy!
Is damn sure strained when Bennigans doesn't give you the sides to your BBQ rib order, like they did to the Monz! But Monz forgave them, especially when their new sauce is so zippy and zesty.

Keep the Home Fires Burning!
While Monz is at home "waiting for the shower guys" he was contemplating barbequeing some sausages, else he might dive into last night's leftovers from New China. Speaking of sausage, did you know if you order a Johnsonville Brat at McDonalds in Wisconsin you get it with mustard and oinions, but if you order it at McDonalds in Illinois they add ketchup?

Old Friends!
Just like monzyummylunch, Mark Monz returned to an old friend to start the week - chicken pieces from Jewel slathered in BBQ sauce. Alas it couldn't equal the thrill of last week's epic journey to the Evanston Steak and Shake. By the way, did you know that Monz' favorite Simon and Garfunkle song is "Mrs. Robinson"? Or that Art Garfunkle used to talk up Jimmy Webb as a better songwriter than Paul Simon because he was still smarting over the breakup? Don't you think lunch blogs are kinda like Kodachrome(tm)? Mama!

Hell Bent for Leather!
First, to follow-up on last week, trust us (as we trust Monz) - it was not a good scene to ask about the pronounciation. But the miklshakes were Roo-ific!
Today Monz had chopped up chicken pieces from Jewel, properly slathered with bbq sauce. But he noted an inconsistency: some of the pieces were moist. Monz likes his chicken leathery.

Monz is on the road. Monz is at a Beef-a-Roo (but aparently not the one with the Cheap Trick shrine). Monz has ordered a cilantro chicken club sandwhich, which he expects to be yummy. But we forgot to ask the question of ages: is it pronouned BEEF-a-roo or beef-a-ROO? Stay tuned!

Today Monz had the Jeff's Dieter's Delight, and it was delightful, delicious and de-lovely! It was also 4 pickle spears, a bed of lettuce, tomato pieces, a scoop of tuna salad and a grilled hamburger patty.

Monz was no chicken when it cam to ordering egg foo yung today from China House - he ordered the pork version! But like a colonial-era patchwork nation made up of warring ethnic conclaves, this concotion could not hang together, leaving Monz with nothing more than some stray BBQ riblets to tide him over until tonights Oktoberfest.

Wilson...or O. Williams?!
You never know what you're gonna get when you go to Wendys: A quiet, anonymous (some might say bland, but not we!) lunch or a rip-your-throat-out, full-throttle affair. Welp, Monz had Wendys delivered unto him and it was a little of both. Nothing too spicy (even the chilli and even after the hot-seasoning pack was added to it), but tasty nontheless. And you want meat? They added a patty to the tripple classic!

Procol Harum Lives!
You don't need to go to Doug's for an encased meat adventure - just ask the Monz! He bravely returned to Franksville to sample their sauerkraut dog and olive dog. The former was yummy, the latter was a Salty Dog and turned him a whiter shade of pale.
