Why Monz Ain't From Rockford, Part Three!
He likes Cheap Trick. If you're from Rockford, it's not enough to like Cheap Trick. And we're pretty sure that nobody in Rockford today had McDougall's Pad Thai Soup, an apple and a banana for lunch.

Why Monz Ain't From Rockford - Part Two!
We can't get him to go to Toad Hall! Maybe if we bribed him with a Leno's Leno's 10" vegwich, no onions. Or maybe not: "Too much food in the last two days. Back to starving tomorrow."

Why Monz Ain't From Rockford, Part One!
He'd fail this test! But he passed his midday meal orals: A road trip down Washington Street with Mrs. Monz to Pampanga Express, a Philippine outfit. No menus -- all food served from a buffet type device covered by glass. You just point and they scoop. He had the "lunch special" for 5.95 which was three entrees + rice. The entrees were sweet sausage, some spicy stuff that was spicy and unidentifiable, and some kind of beefy looking stew with onions. Dessert was red bean cakes. "It was good, but mostly it was an adventure." [This sounds yummy and now I want to go - Travel Editor]
No wonder they call him "Dr. Lunch!"

Can't Buy Me Lunch!
Kicking things off August 5th will be "simply the best Beatles tribute story of our time:" American English! (We wonder what the Liverpool Legends might have to say about that, but anyway...) But will they love-love-me-do a Mcdougall's curry, apple, banana and a not-ripe peach (which Monz didn't each) lunch? We think not.

Three worlds are atwitter (if not a Twitter) over whether Mark Monz and family will be making the trek over to Northbrook for their Northbrook Days Festival, one which has been host to many a Monz adventure. We're going to take a look at some of the main stage acts that are tempting the Monz this year! But we're pretty sure the food booths won't have Mcdougall's miso ramen, apple, banana, and tiny peach-like things.

The Joy of SIX!
What was once startling and amazing is now simply amazing: that's right, it's our
sixth anniversary as the greatest, arguably only, lunch blog on the Internet. And of course, dear readers, so much more! Despite the brief, albiet powerful, blogging of late, the Editors have big plans for the coming year. And Monz has big plans for the coming lunches. Thank you comrades in lunch! This week we honor the redesign of the Sunday Chicago Tribune and the general trend taken by the World's Greatest Newspaper under the enlightened leadership of its latest owner Sam "Give 'Em Hell" Zell, and the late King of Pop (because what could go better together?)!
