Friday Night Memories!
Monz calls into the myl office voice mail but his cell phone is hard to make out. It sounded like he set out to go to the previously mentioned Florida Wendy's, but made a last second detour into a Denny's and ordered...chicken fingers? We couldn't make it out. But the mention of the name Denny's brings back fond high school memories for the editors, who would frequently hop into KT's car, go to a movie or miniture golf course, then head to Denny's (where some of the editors would have a burger and others went for a pregnant-like combo of french fries and chocolate cake).

Whoa! I did go to Denny's where I had a grilled chicken sandwich with a garden salad subbed for fries. It was OK but smelled funky towards the end. Luckily everything stayed down and there were no negative health issues.
Here's my suggestion this year for Monz' lunch: Roast Beef and Olive Sandwich on Country Bread, Pigeon's Cheese Spread on whole wheat crackers.
For the sandwich (which can be easily adapted for wraps, by the way), take a cup of pitted olives, 3 tablespoons olive oil, a tablespoon Balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, some thin tomato slices and 1-1/2 pounds of thinly sliced roast beef.
Puree everyting but the roast beef and tomato and spread on one side of the bread, then layer on the rest.
Pigeon's cheese: take 1-1/2 cups cooked brwon lentils (don't overcook), 12 oz. oyster mushrooms cut into small pieces, 3 cloves garlic chopped fine, two pinches salt, one pinch black pepper, two tablespoons olive oil. Mix and then fold into 1/4 pound of fresh goat cheese -- tell Monz that non-dry cottage cheese can be substituted! Spread on your favorite wheat crackers.
