Oh! The plans I laid have come to naught! Another Amy's Samosa Wrap and another apple. This makes a compact, manageable and yummy lunch!

Yesterday the EIC's belarusky friends, who are now part of a ukranian family, took the staff to early lunch at their family ukranian deli in stamford, ct and to late lunch at europa cafe in times square, which is much like cosi but not as good. We really wanted to go to the Original Soup Man but they never watched Seinfeld. Lunch was catered at day one of the seminar and because of a cold and the Research Editors (RE) online class, they had room service at their incrediby strange hotel (because it not only wishes it was a nightclub and not a hotel, it nearly succeeds)

ick on going to times square. ick ick ick.
also, traffic is only terrible because of the UN and bush and everyone else being here this week. i swear it's not always like this!!
soup man is really good but pretty expensive ($9 for a tiny cup of their lobster bisque)

One does not leave Chicago for pizza my friend! I've had Rays in the past -- does that count?
The traffic didn't seem as bad today, but there were still dozens of cops around where my seminar was. They weren't doing much, but they were quite visible!
