In other words, you must stop the microwave well before all the kernels have popped, in fact, you must stop the microwave while the kernals are in a "burst burst." Listen carefully and as soon as 1) you are over 50% of the recommended pop time AND 2) you hear the rate of kernel popping begin to decellerate, stop the process and enjoy the near perfection of those kernels which have popped!"
