Just Pull Those Old Records Off the Shelf, Eh!

In our continuing Canada Monday series, we note the peculiar pleasures of listening to Canadian oldies stations, like this one. Because of the law requiring Canadian radio stations play a certain amount of "homegrown talent" per hour, some of the songs might be unfamiliar. Check out this sample playlist:

THANK-YOU (Fallettinme Be Mice Elf) BY SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE
TURNED 21 BY FLUDD
BEAST OF BURDEN BY THE ROLLING STONES
COME AND GET THESE MEMORIES BY MARTHA REEVES AND THE VANDELLA
YOU'RE GONNA MISS ME BY WISHBONE
HONKY CAT BY ELTON JOHN
BROWN-EYED GIRL BY VAN MORRISON
RAISE A LITTLE HELL BY TROOPER
SURFIN' BIRD BY THE TRASHMEN
WOODSTOCK BY CROSBY, STILLS, NASH AND YOUNG
LADY WILLPOWER BY GARY PUCKETT AND THE UNION GAP
NO GOOD TIME TO CRY BY THE POPPY FAMILY
WAKE UP LITTLE SUSIE BY THE EVERLY BROTHERS
SHARE THE LAND BY THE GUESS WHO

Monz has a similar lunch -- both familiar and different -- as he does a double back-skip dittolunch!
