We Bet You're Cross!
The Music Editor (ME) was listening, and listening critically, to Crosby Stills & Nash's 1982 hit "Southern Cross" when it dawned on him the horror that awaited the writer/lead singer (Stephen Stills). He's been around the world. Looking for that woman/girl. Who knows love can endure. Thing is, he's on a ship -- he probably doesn't meet too many women, because there are legions -- millions -- billions who know that love can endure. What will he do then? Sail back home? No wonder he wrote "Glad That You Got It Made" years later.
What he should have been looking for is a woman grill rather than woman/girl -- endurance is harder to come by there. Though our George Foreman (tm) Fat Reducing grill is still going strong. So is McDougall's pad thai noodle soup, applepear, banana, and hopefully de-nastied clementines.
