We've Got Mail!

While Monz is moving, we thought we'd share some of the letters we've received. Keep that e-mail a-comin'!

"THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! In the past I've relied on stray scraps (no pun intended!) to find out what Monz has been eating. This site has completely transformed my life!" - anonymous

"Hey, I really love the blog! But I think you spelled 'concurring' wrong." - M. (Webmaster - sorry, it's been corrected. Blogger doesn't have a spellcheck and the cuz is a really bad speller).

" When I was a child
I ate my lunch by myself in a
corner of the schoolyard
all alone.

I hated dolls and I
hated games, animals were
not friendly and birds
flew away.

If anyone was looking for me
I hid behind a
tree and cried out "I am
an orphan.

And here I am, the
center of all beauty!
writing these poems!
Imagine!"

- The channeled spirit of Frank O'Hara.

Mystery Meat!

Monz is frequently on the move, but it's not everyday that Monz is moving! Alas, while Monz is in the land of boxes, we don't know what he's having for lunch!

Streee-iiiike!

Continuing with the baseball analogy, Twins offered up the yummy lunch equivalent of prime Greg Maddox - consistent mastery of their kibbob craft. They sure put this one over the plate!

Someone Call Mick!

"Satisfaction!" was the response when Monz downed a roast beef sandwhich from the neighborhood Jewel (so yummy that he didn't notice whether it was medium or rare). Standard fixins, premium results.

Make Like a Cowboy Bunny!

If Monz liked baseball, he'd tell you that pitchers don't mind it if the ump calls a tight strikezone, they just want consistency. Apparently Coluta's doesn't like baseball that much either - last week their ribs were fantastic. Today, not so much! But the side salad with ranch dressing still impresses.

Who Knew?!

That Peapod delivers pre-cooked Carson's ribs? Monz did! Prepared lovingly in the toaster oven according to instructions, you could almost see the dimly lit room, feel the plastic bib and hear the chattering masses. But you didn't because they were delivered to you! It just goes to show, Monz and yummy lunch are like two peas in a pod.

Mmm...that bread!

Here's a lunch sure to hit the 10-spot when you've been busy all morning in court: order up a buffalo chicken sandwhich at Cosi (just say "I'll have a #10"). Monz did! Team it up with their signature salad and famous complimentary bread and your stomach will issue a concurring opinion!

Just say "Chop! Chop!"

In a hurry but still want a yummy lunch? Why not do what the Monz did? Order up a heap o' chopped up chicken pieces, slathered in barbeque sauce from your neighborhood Jewel! We're talking a whole bird here, cut into pieces you can shake a fork at!

Double Your Fun!

Twins might be your typical fast food joint, but there's nothing typical when it comes to lunch with the Monz! The stickless Chicken Shish-ka-bob plate got the nod and Twins returned the favor by providing a lemon wedge, making this spicy and tart combo worthy of the late great Robert Johnson (hereafter "The Late Great"), not to mention the Monz!

An Offer You Can't Refuse!

You might think that lunch from an establishment with a fine Italian name like Coluta's means pasta, parmesan, or a calzone. Well, fughedaboudit! Monz knows no such limitations! Suculent, flavorful ribs were on today's plate, and you can be sure it was a full slab. And no, that WASN'T enough! A side salad with ranch dressing turned this fine meal into a trionfo!

No Greek Tragedy Here!

Not when you're getting a gyros plate from Jeff's on Cicero Avenue...like the Monz! Not too spicy, not too bland - this Beastos qualifies as "yummy!"

Don't Go Back to Franksville!

They had it all going for them - Monz gracing their establishment with a man-sized order for a regular AND a footlong, with plenty 'o fixins. So what do they do? They offer up the encased meat equivalent of Train (i.e., BLAND). Maybe next time someone will get Monz a dog worthy of the title "yummy lunch!"

What a Debut!

After manfully fighting off a legion of transplanted Russia Mafia, Monz chilled with a McDonald's Chicken McGrill. For a debut feature, Monz even gave us a quote! "Mmmm, mayo, mmmm-mmmm!"
